dahlia Returns with New Single "コバルトブルーの夢"

Long Island Golden Harvest

Release Date: September 11, 2026Circle Arts Records is pleased to announce the release of "コバルトブルーの夢 (Cobalt Blue Dream)", the new single from Japanese artist dahlia, available worldwide on September 11, 2026.The release marks dahlia's first new music since the 2017 album MIRROR and arrives as the third advance single from Circle Arts Compilation Vol.1, following releases by ophill and Long Island.Originally formed in 1998, dahlia has cultivated a distinctive musical identity rooted in French pop, bossa nova, jazz, film music, and sophisticated pop songwriting. "コバルトブルーの夢" continues that musical journey with a fresh, contemporary sound while remaining true to the project's timeless aesthetic.Built around an elegant bossa nova-inspired groove, the song combines rhythmic string motifs, a carefully crafted pop structure, and cinematic orchestration. A dramatic instrumental passage centered on the strings creates a moment of reflection before the music gradually dissolves into an atmospheric finale shaped by resonant analog synthesizers and shimmering delay. The recording features guest performances by Atsushi Fujii (ophill) on bass and Yuzi Kobayashi (kokodsten) on acoustic guitar, adding warmth and subtle color to the arrangement. As the latest chapter in dahlia's long musical history, "コバルトブルーの夢" offers a contemporary interpretation of sophisticated Japanese pop while preserving the elegance and melodic sensibility that have defined the project for decades. The single will be available on all major digital streaming platforms from September 11, 2026.
